| JulieAnna Facelli Computer Administrator, Department of Dance Areas of Expertise JulieAnna Facelli is a digital video artist, community dance facilitator and arts researcher. She has been a leader in major projects including ongoing dance outreach with the Associated Retarded Citizens of Columbus, the site based media collaboration “Living Map” with Norah Zuniga-Shaw in Costa Rica, and “These Streets Called Home” a collaborative performance with the SMARTlab Centre of London for the World Summit of the Information Society in Tunisia. As a National Hispanic Scholar in the Ohio State University Dance Department she focused her study on dance and emerging technologies working closely with Dance and Technology professors Norah Zuniga-Shaw and Johannes Birringer. Trained in the community dance/theater methods of Alana Shaw & Turning the Wheel, JulieAnna strives to work with communities to make art that promotes openness, tolerance and change. Her current research interests include developing methods for community based art making and cross-cultural collaboration, specifically through the use of media technologies. JulieAnna currently works at the Ohio State University Department of Dance as computer administrator and dance and technology researcher. Education |
