Hopkins Hall Gallery & Corridor

Summer 2008 Exhibitions

Past Exhibitions

Hopkins Hall Gallery is a central part of life in the College of the Art. For graduate students in the Department of Art, it is the primary site for solo and two-person MFA thesis exhibitions. These week-long exhibitions occur throughout the year and are particularly frequent during the spring and summer quarters, when the majority of students are completing their degree programs. Hopkins Hall Gallery is also the venue for a variety of faculty, student, and departmental exhibitions within the College of the Arts. Each quarter, the gallery opens with the work of recently arrived visiting artists. These shows offer students and regular faculty the opportunity to become acquainted with artists who come to the Department of Art to work and teach for ten-week residencies. A group exhibition of graduate work occurs each winter; juried shows of Foundation Year and undergraduate majors, and work by students in the Department of Industrial, Interior, and Visual Communication Design are annual events.
